Experience
Mike Gallery, President, has a long and successful history in the technology field. In 1985, after a six year stint as a public school teacher, he assumed the role of Office Manager for a family law firm in the Chicago loop. He automated the firm’s time and billing, converted word processing from typewriters to a computerized system, and set up the company’s Novell Netware computer network.
Next he worked as the Manager of Information Systems for Nisen & Elliott, a mid-sized general business law firm in the loop. He upgraded their single Netware 2.2 file server to a dual Netware 3.12 system, converted all the users’ computers to Windows, and provided on-going support for a host of legal software applications. Additionally, he formed and chaired the Chicago Law Office Systems Group, a group of M.I.S. personnel from various law firms in the city, which met monthly to exchange ideas and information about their respective firms’ technologies.
At Haskell & Perrin, a 100 person law firm specializing in insurance work, he was responsible for the maintenance of the computer network. He set up CD-ROM based legal research systems, designed and implemented a Groupwise based Internet e-mail system, and provided a major corporate client with secure X.400 e-mail. He also provided on-going training and support in various software packages including WordPerfect and custom-designed database software.
Since 1977 he has provided a host of clients with on-going support for their computer systems. His clientele includes law firms, retail businesses, a university, and private individuals. He has set up multi-state networks for law firms, implemented secure remote access for staff, and worked with other consultants to install Juris, Timeslips, docket software, and other programs.
He brings a very wide range of experience to your projects.
